Finding Flow
I have been struggling with “branding” myself for over a decade. I am not a social media guru. I struggle with standing firmly in my own light for all to see. I am an introvert who finds her purest state of flow when I am sharing the gifts of yoga and wellness. I can’t really sum it all up into one catchy sentence, or in a post or a reel. What I crave is real conversations, human connection, and genuine interaction. If you ask me anything about yoga, movement, body and energy work, plant-forward eating, organic skincare, consciously created home goods, our Mother Earth and Grandmother Moon, or my daughter Ayla, I can go on for days.
I woke up at 4am today with the powerful light of this Full Moon shining through my window. I boiled water for my mushroom coffee (I quit the real stuff recently, which I’ll talk about in another post), unrolled my yoga mat, and got out my journal. After a gentle morning flow, I sipped my ‘coffee’ and started writing.
Why am I fighting to fit into a box of what I think my brand should look like, rather than look at what I am actually good at? So today, I simplified. No more spreading myself thin to meet the demands of social media and online content.
I will write, because I love to write, and I will share it here because I believe there is value in sharing our stories and creating community and connection.
I will teach classes in person as often as I can. Come see me in Cambutal, Panama! And I will continue offering weekly Zoom yoga classes because I genuinely love the students that share their practice and time with me.
I will offer live-stream workshops to share my passion for all things wellness, and host retreats here in Panama and around the world, to soothe my travel bug and feed yours.
I will work with aspiring yoga teachers to tap into their authentic selves in order to confidently share the gifts of yoga with others through Flow Yoga International’s teacher training program because it is one of the deepest callings I have ever known.
I will provide personalized healing body work sessions for those whom I have the pleasure of sharing time with.
I will eat well and share my ideas and recipes with you.
I will stick to my ritual of waking before our toddler, moving my body and treating it with care.
I’d love to share my ideas on slow and intentional living, not because it is trendy but because it is an integral part of who I am.
I release the struggle of over extending, trying to meet the ever growing instant gratification wants of the world, and I will slow down. I will relish in the gifts I have been given and I will humbly share them with you.
With love and gratitude,
Loren
